Vinyes i Vins Ca Sa Padrina
Ca Sa Padrina is a winery founded in the year 1999 on the center of the island of Majorca - inside of the D.O. Binissalem-Mallorca-for the biologist and vine-grower Andreu Suñer and the doctor and enologist Jesus Gonzalez. The Black Mantle is his first wine and is commercialized from the year 2002. The project meditates elaborating qualit wines, giving protagonism to the autochthonous grapes (as black manto or the callet) and emphasizing in the wines the fruit-bearing character, without excesses in the contribution of the wood.
Ca Sa Padrina has approximately 9 hectares of vineyard in property, planted on French - sandy soils with great presence of pebbles. These soils are of tertiary origin, very habitual in the center of the island of Majorca. The production of the vineyard is jealous controlled (fitted to a maximum of 2,5 kg for vine-stock) and the withdrawal of the fruit is realized manually in 80 % of the vineyard. The different varieties vinifiCan separately, fermenting in wineries of steel with controlled temperature; the assembly takes place before the upbringing, which takes place for five months in casks of French, American, Hungarian and Bulgarian oak (10 new %).
