Almost in the geographical center of the island of Majorca, in a landscape of soft relief, where it dominates the plain, and protected from the winds of the North for the important clump of Sierra de Alfabia, this one appears D.O., small in extension but of very interesting wine characteristics and already long tradition.

Balears (Illes): Binissalem, Consell, Santa Eugenia, Santa María del Camí, Sencelles.

Climate

The climate can be qualified of Mediterranean softly, with dry and warm summers and short winters. The average annual rainfall is about 450 mm.

Stained Varieties

Authorized: Black Mantle, Callet, Tempranillo, Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot

Preferential: Black Mantle

White Varieties

Authorized: Parellada, Macabeo, Chardonnay

Preferential: Moll, Moscate

Types of wine

Stained Protected Wines. The production will realize from grapes of the variety Black Mantle in 50 % as minimum, whereas in the white wines there establishes a minimum of 50% of grape Moll (Prensal White) or Muscatel.
Frothy Wine. The frothy pink wines will be elaborated from wines obtained with the established varieties.In the production of frothy white wines there will be in use exclusively wines obtained with a minimal percentage of 50 % of grape Moll (Prensal White) and the varieties Parellada, Macabeu and Chardonnay
