Cooperativa San Donato

Founded in 1987

In fourteen years of life, the Cooperative San Donato has gone on from a production, from 6000 bottles of wine of table elaborated with varieties Tempranillo, Malvar and Torrontés, to 18000 bottles of wine D.O. Mondéjar of the current importance, in whose base intervenes also the grape Cabernet.

It is in the surrounding areas of this modern and elegant winery where the grapevines grow and there get sunburnt the grapes with which there are elaborated his renowned white and stained wines. The initial hectare, property, of five partners who formed the cooperative in 1991, has doubled to the return of the century. Besides the vineyards in property, there spurt to the winery with his production of grape other vine-growers of the winery of the name, of Pioz.

The situation of these vineyards and winery in the high and fresher zone of the Region, he him awards to his rich broths his own particularities, putting on the accent of his production in the balance and one more point of acidity that that of the " Alcarria Sur ", with the consequent sensation of freshness in mouth.

The production goes to the attainment of 80 % of wines of Upbringing and Reservation, and 20 % of young wines. In his casks of American oak they rest and there surround themselves a few broths of an excellent quality.

At present, the whole production remains absorbed in the province, but when this one increases and to there be optimized the quality of the final, this product the same year his commercialization will be opened for other markets.
