Bodegas Morosanto
Bodegas Morosanto, founded in 2005, it places on the old Cortijo Morosanto, on The Cimada, Ronda (Malaga) in the head-board of the basin of the river Guadalcobacín, to the feet of the Sierra de las Cumbres and to scanty 10 km from Acinipo's Roman city. It is an estate of about 30 hectares dedicated fundamentally to the culture of the grapevine and where in addition there grow olive trees and oaks, these on the mount that occupies part of the plot.
The enormous geotechnical qualities of these lands are revealed on having be known that in Morosanto already wine was taking place there between the centuries I and the VIth A.D. corresponding these to the concept of typically Roman villa, with urban and different zone of production in that the production of wines is stated in the zone. In Morosanto we find an exceptional situation for the culture of the grapevine. The geotechnical qualities (French soil - arcilloso-arenoso), the emplacement, hillside protected from the north by the above-mentioned saw of the summits, and south-east orientation, besides 800 meters of average height in the zone award to these lands the best characteristics for his culture.
In 2005 and after the corresponding studies of soil, besides the valuation of those varieties that better would develop in these lands, one proceeds to the plantation of the following varieties of stained grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot;; and Tintilla of Rattan, and white varieties: Viognier, Chardonnay, and Muscatel of Alexandria. The plantation occupies 14 hectares of the farmhouse, the frame of plantation of 2,60m x 0,90m allows us a really low density for the usual thing in the zone, not coming to 4.100 plants for hectares and this together with the clowns chosen of low production they give place to powerful wines both of color and of structure and aroma. Limited productions that guarantee better crops in qualit terms and flavor, a wine with great tells the history

Denominación de Origen MALAGA
First long-aged wine from Bodegas Morosanto, blend of varieties Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from vineyards in the Cortijo Morosanto. The harvest of these varieties was conducted in the month of October as the 2009 vintage was not very warm and we gave up a long final maturity. The grapes, after a careful selection in the field and in the winery, made the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and malolactic fermentation in barrel. We both prefermentative long maceration after fermentation as looking for a wine of high expressiveness. Breeding took place in French oak barrels of 225 l. for 12 months and in bottle at least 8 months before being marketed.
