Bodegas Heretat de Taverners
The Winery TAVERNERS's HERETAT is the name of the estate in which our Winery is located. Known also as Casa Colaus, in Fontanars dels Alforins, in the region of the Vall d'Albaida. The name evokes the vern, (alder-tree, birch).
The Winery TAVERNERS's HERETAT has been constructed on the former dependences of the house, a farm-house that dates back to 1.667, restored by the current owners, with production of grape and wine documented from 1738 and 1782.
The current property took again the wine activity, acting across the company HERETAT OF TAVERNERS, S.L., they transformed totally the vineyards, which occupy at present approximately 25 Hectares, and elaborating the first crop in the year 1.999, In the current facilities. The Winery is semiburied, isolated and endowed with an equipment of air conditioning that supports the conditions of temperature and dampness in his interior, and in addition it supplies cold or heat to the Wineries to realize the fermentations to controlled temperature.
The topography of the estate us marks a reference at the moment of elaborating our wines, since we try to reflect the conditions of our estate in the wine. So that we mark the highest zone for It Reserves basically and the lowest zone for the Crianza.
The productive capacity of the estate is very limited since the idea of the Winery is to produce it came only from the grapes of our property.
Our ideal one is to work to manage to have a wine of estate, in which his origin is identified.
