Bodega Francisco Javier Sanz Cantalapiedra

Founded in 1996

WAREHOUSE ORDEN TERCERA was founded at the end of the 19th century by the great-grandfather of Javier Sanz, Agustín Nanclares. It is located in the municipality of La Seca (Valladolid), place known by the high quality of his white wines. The warehouse was founded with the intention of elaborating wines of the highest quality.

We have an ancient warehouse of the 17th century, completely restored and conditioned with the most modern technology for the production of white wines, but supporting his old captivation, for it there have remained all the typical elements of the Mozarabic architecture. Nowadays it is our Enoturismo's Center.

As for the facilities, we have also underground galleries of approximately 950 meters of length, to 25 meters of depth, they are a part of the studding of galleries excavated under THE CHAPEL OF THE THIRD ORDER, opposite to the warehouse. That gives name to our wine. These galleries, completely restored, also date back to the 17th century. They have been in use for elaborating wine from the antiquity, taking advantage of the advantage of the constant temperature that is kept all the year round: 7ºC.
Nowadays these galleries are in use for the upbringing of the stained wine and for the production of white wine fermented in cask. The fact that the temperature is kept stable it does that the process of aging is slower, and awards a much higher quality.
