Logo of the VT EIVISSA
Ibiza is a protected geographical indication, used to designate the traditional wines of the island of Ibiza. The grape production area and production of "Vino de la Tierra Ibiza" is the island which gives its name to this GI.

From GI "Wine: Ibiza" highlight red wines made with Monastrell variety traditionally grown in the island and a good adaptation. These are wines to cherry cerise, bright and transparent. Predominate aromas of ripe fruit (strawberry), strawberry candy, scented notes, highlighting in some cases thyme. Thyme has traditionally been used to prevent clogging of the fermentation tanks, so you could say that is a remarkable attribute identifying wine and Ibiza. The palate is full-bodied wines, dense, round and warm, the finish is long and reminiscent of fruit brandy.

Regarding white wines, made ??from Macabeo highlight as the main variety. These wines have a good lemon yellow or straw, with aromas of ripe fruit (apple) and flowers. The palate is fresh, stylish, balanced and have a good pace, with a finish of ripe fruit.
