Riscal 1860
Marqués de Riscal, pioneer in the production of top quality wines in Rioja and Rueda, a new adventure begins with the development of a highly expressive wine outside the DO Rioja. This wine has been created within a development concept of freedom from a careful selection of the best payouts and Tempranillo strains gravelly soils from alluvial land in the Douro region. This variety produces very aromatic wines of great body and color, well-structured and provided with freshness and intensity. Syrah and Merlot, whose percentage in the mixture does not exceed 15%, provide more structure and complexity. In vintage, set by the Riscal technical department, only accept good sunny tempranillos Mature stored in boxes for up to 18 kilos in order to avoid breaking the fruit. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 24 º C and 26 º C, with maceration or barreling short just one week. It malolactic fermentation in tank and aged six months later in Bordeaux barrels new American oak.

Cherry color with violet tones.
Wine Aroma:
High aromatic intensity, with aromas of red fruit compote, roasted notes of chocolate, black pepper and smoked.
Wine Taste:
The palate has a fresh and fruity entry and wood tannin present without being annoying. Acidity is moderate, with a long and pleasant oak perceived more definitely.
