This monitoring of consumption is done in all estapas wine production, with particular attention to the fermentation process accounting for 45% of energy consumption, bottling, storage and shipping (18%), which in sum account for more than half of the bill.

The head winemaker, Simon Arina, believes this project is "a real technological challenge, as it offers a real-time solution that achieves savings ranging between 30% and 40% of the energy bill, and also allows predictive maintenance of equipment as well as a sharing of costs per unit of production. "
