Wineries Ysios turns, from his foundation, into flagship of New Rioja , marking the style of the wines of the New Millenium. The exclusive dedication to the production wines of Reservation and coupages singular they mark the philosophy of the Winery. A conception that rests in three basic props: the excellence enológica, the innovation and constant investigation and the respect for the identity of Rioja.
The Winery, concebida as temple dedicated to the wine, was inaugurated in 2001 and pioneer turned into the " author's Winery " into Rioja. The architectural project, inspired visually by a glass of wine, was developed by Santiago Calatrava. The visual effect, the sublimation of a row of casks, is a composition ultramodern and perfectly connected with the landscape, up to the point of turning into a landscape symbol into the environment.
75 Hectares that shape his vineyards are located in Rioja Alavesa, distributed between Laguardia's localities and El Villar, the highest zone of Rioja. Ysios Reserva
RIOJA qualified Designation of Origin
Winery located in the most beautiful area of La Rioja, in the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria. The winery, designed by Santiago Calatrava, is a gem of architecture. The Ysios winemaker, Luis Zudaire leaves nothing to chance, and their wines are the result of a continuous process that starts selections in the strain itself. To prepare Ysios Reserva 2006 "we conduct a thorough inspection of maturity of different terroirs, finally defined based on these controls and tasting the grape harvest the optimum time. In wine is fermented in conical tanks, from where Luis tracks directly polyphenolic tasting and evaluating wine evolution. Subsequently, the 2006 Reserva is aged for 15 months in oak barrels mainly French and Hungarian, half of them new. The rest of the time remained in the bottle, offering an aging potential of over 10 years.
