Founded in 1963
Founded in the year 1.963 by the Brothers Caceres Márquez, this Winery has already own name between the Wineries of the Ribera del Guadiana. It is placed in an enclave favoured inside the subfield of Tierra de Barros, with a few clearly differentiated characteristics of the terruño, as consequence of the altitude of the vineyard and of the composition of the soils, managing to produce minor quantity of grapes in benefit of the calidad.
The production of the wines begins with a strict labor of field, selecting the best vineyards of between more than hundred vine-growers joined the Winery from his beginning, working and spoiling the vine-stocks as if about his own children it was treating itself.
Endowed with the most modern systems enológicos, it has a capacity of storage of 2.300.000 liters, as well as of an underground room of upbringing to cradle the casks that later will give us the extraordinary wines of upbringing and reservation that the Winery produces.
These technical means joined the tradition and experience of his men in the art of doing wine, give to Wineries CASTELAR a well-deserved prestige.
