Álvaro Palacios comes to the Priorat, concretely in the locality of Gratallops, of the hand of a group of local producers with the intention to transmit in his wines the whole character of this land, flood of clear essences, of the Mediterranean Sun, of crags and slate, of fennel and olive groves, a land with mystical soul, with a past tied to the Carthusian monks, who developed the culture of the grapevine during more than six centuries. It possesses a surface of vineyard of 1.200 hectares, planted on pronounced hillsides and terraces on a type of area type slate.
His vineyards, old vine-stocks of robe, enjoy a Mediterranean climate, with more than 3.000 hours of the Sun, a pluviometría lower than 380 mm per year, and the proximity of the sea, which grants the freshness of the garbinada to him in summer.
Spirit, patience, passion, light and rigor harmonicly combine to create a few round, fresh and mineral wines that have revolutionized the wine Spanish and reached panorama the highest levels of prestige and recognition worldwide.
For the production of the wine they possess machines despalilladoras and estrujadora, tubs of cement and stainless steel. For the upbringing and aging they possess more than 1.000 casks of French oak.

The new wine of Alvaro Palacios comes with 8 months of barrel aging and varieties Carignan, Grenache, Cabernet and Syrah from vineyards with very different ages (between 10 and 50 years) planted on steep slopes and terraces of slate floor in the towns of Gratallops, Porrera, Torroja, Les Vilelles, Bellmunt and El Molar. A wine with a lot of youth and little stores that evokes a very spring.
