DO RIBERA DEL DUERO

Logo of the DO RIBERA DEL DUERO
In the vineyards of the D.O. Ribera del Duero dominates a variety that overcomes with much all other: Tinto del País or Tempranillo. The stained wine is obtained successfully in this zone. It is an aromatic, very fruity wine and of red very alive color in his youth and softer, aterciopoelado and with great wealth in elegant olfactory and savory sensations that are revealed along his evolution.

Climate

The specific climatological conditions that characterize the culture of the grapevine in the Bank of the Douro, have great influence along the vegetative cycle of the vineyards, playing a role fundamentally in the development of the plant and the ripeness of the grape. On these special conditions there depends, to a great extent, the quality of the obtained broths. The climatology of the Bank of the Douro is characterized by a moderate-low pluviometry (450 mm/year) that, joined to his dry summers (40ºC) and long and rigorous winters (-18ºC), and with marked thermal oscillations along the stations, they frame it inside a Mediterranean climate, with more than 2.400 hours of the Sun, which basic character is the continentalidad.
