Wine Museum of Pagos del Rey
Bodega Pagos del Rey starts his new Wine Museum, located in the town Morales de Toro of Zamora, in full D.O.Toro. A very unique project of Pagos del Rey (Félix Solís Avantis Group) with the aim of enriching an area with some extended value wine. This private initiative, will be the beginning of a larger project focusing on the wine as the main protagonist, who travel the main wineries Pagos del Rey, located in Olmedillo Roa (Burgos), Fuenmayor (La Rioja) and Rueda (Valladolid).
With private investment of more than 2 million, has become the area of deposits of the old building of the local Cooperative Viña Bajoz in the first museum of wine of the province of Zamora.
Cover of this building has been restored with its unique tensioning system, keeping the 28 concrete fermentation tanks, some of them inside adapting audiovisual exposure where visitors can tour the winemaking process in a complete sensory experience. The ground floor offers 250 m2 of exhibition about the history of wine. Another exhibition area with interactive audiovisual materials, shows the location of the wines of Castilla y Leon, following the course of the Duero River.
The multipurpose space of 100 m2 can meet the promoter through a video projection and information panels. This area is also dedicated to tasting and other training in Wine culture. Finally, from a viewpoint that does not leave anyone indifferent, you can admire the aging cellar with 2000 oak barrels and breathe the aroma of the wines are kept in it: Bajoz and Finca La Meda.
To finish the look, the store is also the site of tasting wines produced in this wine cellars and other wines from Pagos del Rey which owns most prestigious appellations of northern Spain: Ribera del Duero, Rioja and Rueda. Also, in the store you can buy regional gourmet products of excellent quality.
The route can be completed with a visit to the modern winery, the evolution of techniques and methods comprising winemaking.
