Best Wines of Spain 2013
The Best Wines of Spain, selected by the sommeliers who have participated in the XXII edition of La Nariz de Oro not only competing sommeliers Golden Nose, but so do the wines.
The 72 finalists, from Andalusia, Cantabria, Castilla y Leon, Catalonia, Valencia, Galicia, La Rioja, Navarra, Madrid and the Basque Country, who attended the call made by a jury to choose blind tasting the best wines of Spain , among a total of 150 wines in 7 different categories.
The Chosen were a selection of 21 white, sparkling, rosé, crianza, generous and sweet wines, distinguished by its high quality and being very spread out geographically.
In the white wines category, the winner was Fransola 2011 (Torres), followed by FColección Félix Azpilicueta FB 2011 and White CVNE 2011.
In sparkling wines, the most liked was the cellar sommeliers Gramona III Lustros Gran Reserva 2005, after which stood Berta Bouzy Reserva Extra Brut and thirdly, Juve & Camps Millesimé 2008.
The best rosé wines were, in this order, SeñorÃo de SarrÃa Viñedo Nº 5 (Taninia), Pardevalles 2012 (Viñedos y Bodega Pardevalles) y Hiriart Élite 2012 (Hiriart).
In red wines under 9 months of aging, the highest rated was the Dominio del Bendito El Primer Paso 2010, followed Rasgo 2009 and Lafou 2010, while the red mode over 9 months of aging were the most voted Moisés 2009, Arzuaga Crianza 2010 and Don Miguel Comenge 2009.
In the category of generous, the winner was Lustau Almacenista Vides Palo Cortado, ahead of Emilio Lustau Grupo Caballero, Gutiérrez ColosÃa Amontillado young and Fino TÃo Pepe.
Finally, a regards to sweets wines, the winer was Alvear PX de Añada 2011, followed by Enrique Mendoza Moscatel Mendoza 2012 and Sinols Moscatel 2011.
