Bacchus 2013 turns Madrid into "the world capital of wine"
The prestigious event, organized by the Spanish Tasters Union (UEC), meet at the Casino de Madrid on 72 expert tasters prestigious national and international juries divided into 12 six tasters each to choose the most important wines of the international scene. To bring it to the public, this year it plans GastroBacchus, a route through the historic district of Las Letras Madrid wine tasting and tapas for 4€.
For the president of the UEC and contest director, Fernando Gurrucharri, it is a parallel activity to publicize Madrid wines and cuisine of the city. This year is of the most traditional or Taberna Casa Patas Mariano to the most avant-garde chef Ricard Camarena in Ramses, passing through the Vinoteca Garcia of Navarre, a barrel of Letters, The Art and Vadebaco Vega. This route, organized in collaboration with the Academy of Gastronomy Madrid, will also disclose Spanish cuisine and wines of the capital between the tasters will choose the best wines in the world.
