Founded in 1965

The Agrarian Cooperative " Santa Maria Magdalena ", was founded on 1.965, beginning his activity with 55 partners and reaching at present 150 partners. The producing surface of his partners includes approximately 850 hectares of which 200 are included in the D. O. Manchuela.

The most traditional variety is the Bobal, the Garnacha is the following one in importance, increasing progressively the plantations of Cencibel or Tempranillo and the incipient plantations of varietales Frenchmen (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah).

The winery is provided with the most advanced technical infrastructure and enológica. From the period of January, the grape is followed day after day, with constant controls, in order to establish the suitable moment of ripeness and vintage.

The Cooperative Santa Maria Magdalena goes putting into practice for several years the integrated production, which it means: integration of the culture (plantation, pruning, managing of the soil and control of bad grasses, control of plagues, diseases and vintage); following the idea of making a profitable agriculture compatible, with qualit products and, at the same time, respectful with the environment.

The Cooperative Santa Maria Magdalena begins in the bottling wine with his brand PERCHEL, producing stained wines of Cencibel or Tempranillo and pink of Bobal and Robe.
