Founded in 1958

The Agrarian Cooperative "San Jorge", it was founded on 1.958, beginning his activity with 37 partners, reaching at present 150. With a volume of production of 5 million kilos. The producing surface of his partners includes approximately 900 hectares.

The most traditional variety is the Bobal, the Garnacha is the following one in importance, increasing progressively the plantations of Cencibel or Tempranillo and the incipient plantations of varietales Frenchmen (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah).

The winery is provided with the most advanced technical infrastructure and enológica, constituting one of the better provided and harmonic projects in the production of wines and natural musts.

The Cooperative San Jorge goes putting into practice for several years the integrated production, which as his name indicates, it understands and gives procedure for the integralidad of the culture: plantation, pruning, managing of the soil and control of bad grasses, control of plagues and diseases and vintage; following the idea of making a profitable agriculture compatible, with qualit products and at the same time respectful with the environment.

The partners of the Cooperative San Jorge, possess plots inscribed in the CRAE (Regulatory Advice of Ecological Agriculture), initiating shortly the production of these grapes for his bottling and commercialization as ecological wine.
