Mas Igneus, S.L.

Founded in 1996

Mas Igneus was founded in the year 1996, fruit of the collaboration between Josep Maria Albet and Josep Maria Pujol-Busquets and, initially, also of Poboleda's Cooperative. 2004, the Cooperative finishes his participation in the company and Mas Igneus, unitedly with a group of vine-growers of Poboleda and Porrera - who already were devoting themselves to the ecological culture-, Costers de l'Ermita moves to the new winery, of ultramodern design, constructed in the estate, to Gratallops's suburbs and to the feet of Nostra Senyora's known hermitage of the Consolació.

The vineyards, the winery and Mas Igneus's wines, this way as the vineyards of the vine-growers who work with us, possess all the certification of ecological granted by the CCPAE (Consell Català of the Producció Agrària of Catalonia), and BIO INSPECTA, (Delinat - Suïssa) entities entrusted to assure I complete of the most strict regulations of ecological agriculture of the world. Our winery, designed by the architect Alfons Soldevila, there has been selected for her 4a biennal of architecture Alejandro de la Sota of the Architects' College of Tarragona, and also it works out published in the magazine of architecture of the Architects' Official College of Catalonia, num 244 (I articulate Alfons Soldevila 91-2004). The vintage of 2004 was constructed in time for vinificar, and was inaugurated formally in the spring of 2005.
