CVNE, Cia. Vinícola del Norte de España
The Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España, C.V.N.E. is located in the wine Neighborhood of the Station from 1879 when two brothers created a company of production of wines that managed to turn into one of the first Wineries of La Rioja that carried out the process of bottling. And following this pace advanced for his epoch, at the end of the 19th century, CVNE buys in France the pasteurizador "Malvoisin", a revolutionary machine that it placed to the Winery in the last trends enológicas.
On July 16, 1941 the ship is inaugurated of vinificación " Carmen ", the first ship of vinificación of cement of the Rioja that was widely copied. On October 12, 1989 the ship is inaugurated of vinificación " El Pilar " being this the first ship of average size of vinificación not aggressive in the transport of the must across a few Wineries of stainless steel that are raised by a derrick without any need of cylinders of drive not of pipelines. These are transported to the corresponding Winery stopping to fall the must for gravity. CVNE was pioneering in this concept that nowadays has spread to numerous Wineries. In 1981 CVNE it carries out the Viura's first Riojan fermentations in casks of American oak. At the end of the 20th century CVNE believe an innovative system of piled up of casks in racks facilitating the access to each of them, being able to move them of individual form, avoiding sudden movements of the wine.
The Winery has a great architectural valuable legacy in his " Ship Eiffel " since it was the study of the famous French engineer Gustave Eiffel who designed the cover of this ship at the beginning of last century. It was a revolution since 800 meters of ship are sustained without columns. After his rehabilitation in 2008 we can estimate this work in all his brilliance.

View wineMonopole Clásico
RIOJA qualified Designation of Origin
