Clos Mogador, S.C.C.L.
René Barbier, descendant from a butlers' known dynasty of origin French and established also in the Penedès, was one of the pioneers of the new red wines of the Priorat and bet successfully for this difficult region different when they were ignoring her. In 1978 the family René Barbier and Isabel Meyer acquired some old vineyards in the Priorat, this way it was born Clucks Mogador. A vineyard that is cultivated by an exhaustive selected quality control the best grapes, to obtain a must with which to elaborate and to raise in casks of oak Allier a captivating and overflowing wine.
The winery was founded in 1989, but already it was doing more time that Barbier had led, together with other butlers, the revolution in this region to give him a new impulse to the wines of the Priorat. These butlers started a common project that has marked the D.O.
In the production of his wines, stand out in Clucks Mogador his elegant processes of production and upbringing. The wine that it elaborates in his own vineyards has gained the respect itself in the whole world. For it it must have realized some investments, providing to his winery of a good battery of new casks of French oak Allier.
His major wine is the Clos Mogador, a reserva of robe, syrah and cabernet sauvignon.
