Bodegas y Viñedos de la Casa Masaveu

Founded in 1974

In 1974, the Group Masaveu acquired Wineries Murúa, in the Rioja alavesa. It is a question of a Winery that it commercializes exclusively reservations and big reservations, elaborated in his integrity with grapes proceeding from his 110 hectares of vineyards. In the year 2000 a new purchase took place, that of Wineries Fillaboa, in Salvaterra de Miño, whose initials 30 hectares of vineyards have turned into 60 and, soon, into 70.

The same year, the Group Masaveu acquired an estate of 400 hectares in Olite (Navarre) with the intention of planting vineyards and of constructing a Winery of 14.000 square meters.

This project, already in outpost been of development under the name of " Araiz's Payments ", will allow, concluded the works in 2004, to commercialize once the crop 2005-2006. Also in 2000, the company planted 25.000 apple trees on an estate of 80 hectares located in Sariego's Asturian council, with the idea of constructing a press to elaborate cider and other derivative products, from a selection of twelve varieties of apple.

With a view to the future, Jose Masaveu bets for concluding all the projects that it has in march and for consolidating the synergies between his Wineries. All this in altars of supporting the politics of quality and service to his clients by means of a strategy of constant improvement, so much to level of production as of internal and commercial management.
