The origin of Bodegas Toresanas back to 1980, although it was in 1997, envisioning the development and possibilities of the DO Toro, when it decided to build a homemade cellar in the town of Toro, the heart of the appellation.
The construction of two plants, one of which is buried underground, allows for excellent aging room naturally maintaining optimal conditions of temperature and humidity, favoring raising their wines.
Toresanas has 20 hectares of vineyards of Tinta de Toro, with a length of more than 10 years. Located southeast of the province of Zamora, is located at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level.
The land, clayey and silty sandstone and limestone, is ideal for growing this grape variety, which is greatly benefited by the soils poor in organic matter, calcareous and slightly moist.
