Founded in 1987

Wineries Roda, S.A. was founded in 1987 but it was not until 2001 when, after ten years of construction, one concluded the building of the Winery in the Neighborhood of the Station and near to the river Ebro, which was carried out in three phases, the first one of all executed by the architect Roses and the last one directed by Llimona Ruiz's study-Recorder.

It relies on three ships of definitive upbringing, two underground ones, excavated in the rock, the called LA NAVE DEL CARDO, in reference to the great sculpture of forge that it represents three flowers of thistle that form the emblem of the Winery and EL CALADO, A former tunnel of the 19th century that goes out to 12 meters of depth to a terrace on the river Ebro. The third ship is the NAVE T and the three use with the same end being able to use his different climatic conditions depending on the different types of wine.

One of the out-standing resources of the Winery is to tell with the first room of malolácticas climatizada by means of radiant and refreshing soil and with a special rectangular room with 17 tubs of French oak that it coincides with number with the vineyards, which grapes encuban separately in each of these tubs for three weeks to be descubadas later directly to cask. As soon as 17 different wines go a year of cask, there comes the definitive moment to assemble the payments that have typical of RODA I, Of black fruit, with mineral notes, of chocolate and black plum, adapted for the delight of the senses and for the reflection.
