Bodegas Lalanne
French-born family winery, founded in Bordeaux in 1842, by Francis Lalanne Merlet, and his wife, Baroness Joan Felicia Lataste of Boujardeau. It took little more than half a century to settle in Spain. In 1890 the phylloxera ravaged France, was when the family decided to seek other areas in Spain where their vineyards. It took several years to decide, but finally, by the year 1894, were established in the Somontano, in Barbastro (Huesca), and purchased the farm there Castillo San Marcos. The facilities include a ship with 650 breeding American oak and French.
The planted vineyards of Bodegas Lalanne lie along the river Vero, in the heart of the Somontano. Cultivated varieties are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot French Medoc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay ... and local varieties, Moristrell, Tempranillo, Garnacha, Macabeo ... All come exclusively from their 37 hectares of vineyards and allow them to produce excellent wines aged in American oak barrels. Those responsible Lalanne faithfully preserved the strictest traditional systems development and Bordeaux style, which have been inherited from their ancestors.
