Wineries Castillo de Gumiel S.L. We are producing and makers of our wines. It is founded in her add of 2004. It is a Winery that belongs to the D.O. Ribera del Duero.

Our 90 hectares of vineyard of Tinta Fina del País and Albillo, they are placed in Gumiel de Mercado and La Aguilera. 35 % of our vineyards has between 40 and 60 years of age managing, in some case, to overcome the hundred. Our vineyards are placed between mounts of oak, oaks, thymes, lavender and other autochthonous vegetations, contributing these aromas to the grape. 85 % of our vineyard this one formed in glass, which allows a major utilization of the solar light on the part of the plant.

This way of driving or taking the vineyard (in glass) is more laborious, since there prevents a mechanization of the above mentioned work and forces to a few certain labors that are realized manually, from the moment of the pruning up to coming to the culminating moment, the vintage. And if to this we join our low performances, the result this one clearly, an incredible raw material that contributes a major quality to our wines, because in Wineries Castillo de Gumiel we know that if we spoil our vine-stocks with the suitable works we will obtain qualit grapes to do big wines.

The process of the production of these wines is done in our facilities of Winery, equipped with the suitable technology and the traditional experience, allows us to obtain a few wines of quality.
