Campo de Cartagena is a protected geographical indication, used to describe the wines made ??from grapes grown in the vineyard area which includes the towns of Cartagena, Torre Pacheco, La Union, Fuente Alamo, Los Alcazares, San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar, member of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Spain, and who meet certain requirements.

The arid Mediterranean climate is typical of this region bathed in sunshine, with few and irregular rainfall and high temperatures in summer are smoothed in the rest of the year. The Campo de Cartagena is used almost exclusively for agriculture, emphasizing vegetables, citrus and cotton.

The production of the wines from this area has been reduced to the activity of several private wineries, although some brands have managed to elaborate wines that seek to strengthen. There are red, pink, white and natural fresh high quality.
