In the year 1993 the D.O Viños da Terra was approved. , but the definitive and progressive takeoff did not take place until 1996 with the definitive approval of the D.O. The only way that he still has today to a producers' community is the professionalization of the management, sacred rule to compete with success on the markets. Ribeira Sacra's Regulatory Advice has three essential assignments: to guarantee the origin of the product, to assure the quality of the same one and to promote the wines produced under the protection of the D.O. In the purely productive aspects, the qualified personnel of the Advice and a technical independent commission they take charge of the controls in order that the final product fulfills the procedure foreseen by the Advice relative to the wine.
