The name of the D.O. Plà i LLevant comes from one of the regions from the island of Majorca and in Majorcan plain and coast means literally of this of Majorca. The zone of production includes the central and oriental plain of the island, which offers ideal soils for the vineyards. The results of the first vintage suggest that it is a question of a zone with an enormous potential for the development of important Mediterranean wines.

The region possesses a Mediterranean typical climate, of winters moderately colds and long and dry summers.

Stained Varieties

Authorized: Callet, Fogoneu, Black Mantle, Monastrell, Merlot.

Preferential: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon.

White Varieties

Authorized: Prensal blanc, Macabeu, Parellada.

Preferential: Muscatel, Chardonnay.
