Businessman arrested for selling stolen wine Gran Reserva
The owner of a wine distribution company accused of selling wine Gran Reserva from a robbery
The owner of a wine distribution company, has been arrested by the police of San Agustin de Guadalix, accused of selling wine Gran Reserva from a robbery in 2011 of a truck in the Madrid town of La Cabrera.
In that robbery the thieves stole four pallets containing 2,400 bottles of wine Gran Reserva valued at 30,000 euros. The police investigation focused on companies engaged in the distribution of wine in several Spanish provinces. The search managed to locate a company that was selling the same wine that wine stolen in La Cabrera. After the study of the invoices provided by the owner, the police concluded that they were false. The owner was arrested for his alleged involvement in the crimes of fraud, forgery and receiving.
