Viñas de Alenge
Alvear is one of the wineries of major prestige and international recognition of Spain, being the most ancient winery of Andalusia. Almost three centuries have passed since the first Alvear, Juan, original of Nájera's of Navarre municipality, was moving to the city of Cordova to develop his functions as dignitary high place of Estate. But it is his son, Diego de Alvear and Stairs, who in 1729 moves to Montilla where his passion is born for the vineyard and the wine. There it founded the winery Alvear.
Throughout his 275 years of history, the winery Alvear has preserved his familiar character, being the eighth generation who possesses the property of the company at present.
In the year 2000, there begins the gait of Viñas de Alange and his winery Palacio Quemado, an initiative of Alvear and of the family Losada Serra, owner of beautiful cultivates Burnt Palace, in the Extremaduran D.O. Ribera of the Guadiana. Palacio Quemado is a challenge that seeks to obtain qualit wines of an exceptional region, associated with the centenary experience of wineries Alvear.
