Founded in 1914

Founded in 1941 by Mr Joan Font i Guasch, Vins Font initiated his activity dedicated to the purchase of wine to particular makers and his later sale to companies of the metropolitan area of Barcelona, so much in bulk as bottling.

This way, though it was not until 1961 when one started buying vine-growers grape for vinificar, the constant managerial and technological worry that always it has characterized to this company led Vins Font to developing a prototype of the press of bands, as own invention.

At present, this family enterprise through that there lives his second generation of the hand of Mr Julián Font, manager of the company from 1977, is a signature consolidated that possesses three Wineries, in Castellet i the Gornal (Barcelona), Castellví de la Marca (Barcelona) and Vila-Rodona (Tarragona), a capacity of vinificación of 250.000 Hl and a capacity of storage of 300.000 Hectólitros.

Specialized in the production of qualit wines; 85 % of the production is white wines, for his sale to big signatures of the domestic market for the production of wine base for wine-cellar and others as those of D.O. Penedès and D.O. Catalonia, in minor measure, for his export to markets like Germany or Italy, Vins Font carries out likewise vinificaciones special and has initiated recently a new productive slope centred on the bottling of small productions of high quality.
