Vega de Ribes is a family enterprise dedicated to production and bottling of qualit wines of own crop. The grape comes from the vineyards of the estate The Serra and ranching is cultivated in ecological agriculture integrated with other cultures i. The company is the continuation of an effort of many generations cultivating the land and administering and managing of sustainable form the environment. Shaping a varied landscape in which they fit forests, hedges, pastures, vineyards and cereals.
The vineyards are arranged in bench-covers to avoid the erosion, surrounded with walls of stone forming a mosaic with the forests and the carob-trees, typical of the traditional landscape of the Penedès Mediterráneo.
The winery has renewed in diverse stages, from the former winery of the 16th century, the "new" winery of 1760, the room of 1911, up to the most recent in 1990 to take advantage of the ventaja of the modern equipments enológicos. The commercialization is realized in the same winery, in local trades and a part to the export.
