Founded in 1920
Sant Martí Sarroca has been a testimony of Rovellats's evolution from the centuries X-XV. From the moment in which it put on the first stone of the Farmhouse Rovellats, a beautiful architectural structure of medieval style, up to nowadays, the permanent search of the excellence of his products has been a basic premise in Rovellats.
His founder, Josep Vallès Rovira, initiated the production of the champaign at the beginning of the 20th century. In these moments, the Farmhouse already was possessing an underground to 12 meters of depth of original radial structure and a few leafy modernist gardens. Thanks to the elegant process of production of the champaign, in a few years, Rovellats got the first prize for the quality of his wine-cellars during the International Exhibition of Barcelona of 1929.
The second generation, Rosa Vallès and Joan Cardona, realized big technological innovations, especially in the winery of production of wines, and introduced improvements in more than 210 hectares of the property. The deep commitment with the efficiency and the nature already was clearly definite. The brothers M ª Rose and Josep Cardona are already the third generation and continue betting for the autochthonous varieties, preserving the identity and the own personality of every product.
Tradition and innovation surround the core of this vine-growers' family that is ruled by a few values of witness and exclusive dedication, which provide with prestige and excepcionalidad to his products.
