Rosell y Formosa, S.A.

Founded in 1948

In Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, the year 1948, Mr Josep Rosell and Mr Joan Formosa, they risked in the production of wine-cellar from the wine obtained in his vineyards. After a few first years in a few wine-cellars of rent, they acquired in 1955 a lot in Sant Sadurní's center d'Anoia, where the first wine-cellars Rosell and Formosa were excavated, with the participation of the whole family, being this one nowadays the headquarters of our principal cavas.

Some years later, the second generation of the families Rosell and Formosa took the helm of the company. There was acquired a new property, the " new cava", where the production is realized of mechanized form.During this time a terrace was adapted where the weekends there was offering the possibility of eating meat to the ember. It allowed it to announce the cavas Rosell and Formosa to many families near the zone.

At present this terrace is closed and already we do not offer show restraint of meat to the ember. The families Rosell and Formosa we have centred on the production of cavas. We continue supporting the direct treatment with our clients, selling wine-cellars in our facilities, apart from realizing sending to domicile. In addition, we offer also wines with D.O. Penedès, in the same line of attainable products of good quality of our champaigns.

On the other hand, for a few years, we have initiated the commercialization of our champaigns Rosell and Formosa out of our borders, and nowadays we have distributors in several countries of the European Union.
