Viñedos y Bodega Príncipe Alfonso de Hohenlohe (Bodega Cortijo de las Monjas)
The history of this wine-growing estate of the Cortijo de las Monjas, it goes back a 80s when a lover of Andalusia the Prince Alfonso de Hohenlohe, discoverer of the Costa del Sol, creator of the Marbella Club and of the Sanlucar Club of Field, moves his residence to this estate of the Serranía de Ronda. Supported by two of his friends Sasha Lichine and the Marquess of Wimple it planted the first 15 hectares of grape of caste of great quality:cabernet sauvignon, syrah, merlot, petit verdot and tempranillo and elaborating two brands, Príncipe de Hohenlohe and Cortijo Las Monjas.
300 casks of this winery revolutionized in March, 2000, the Prince signs an agreement with Arch Close wineries, which stimulates to heighten the vineyards so that they place in the most important second wine group of Spain with the name of " New wines of Andalusia ". After two decades of work, these wines have supposed an authentic revolution in the ethnological world, giving also importance to the wines proceeding from the Serranía de Ronda.
