Enológica Wamba
Founded in 1995
Enológica Wamba, seated in Pampliega winery (Burgos) at 800 meters above sea level. Their commitment is to recover a tradition wine region, but current techniques of production and development, always respecting the quality of the grapes and of course, wine. Its brands have a meaning related to the history of the town, Ambisna, the first name of the people who have knowledge.
Zarzanas is a term for the area, as others that were formerly the vineyards (The Majuelos, Entreviñas, Cavarrosa, ...). The name of the winery comes from the Visigothic king Wamba, who lived and died in Pampliega. In this town also passed other Visigoth kings, and Recevinto Chindasvinto.
