Founded in 1790

Parés Baltà's origin goes back to the 18th century. The vineyards that surround the winery at present were planted in 1790. Today two hundred years afterwards many things have changed.

In the seventies Joan Cusiné Hill took the control of the winery. It had born in Bellvei del Penedès 1917, son of a vine-growers' family. Already from seven years it was employed at the vineyard with his father. Today, eighty years later, still it continues controlling part of the viticulture. His son, Joan Cusiné Cusiné took the reins of the winery in the eighties and elaborated his first white wine, Blanc de Pacs, which still today is elaborated. It is at the end of the eighties when the first stained wine is elaborated. From this moment, his enthusiasm to elaborate wines of great quality always has been present.

In the year 2000, the control of the winery stays in hands of both grandsons, Joan i Josep Cusiné Carol, though the father and the grandfather continue assets in the winery. They have contributed new and fresh ideas to the winery, always showing a respect for the experience and the heritage his predecessors. The wives of Joan and Josep, Maria Elena Jiménez and Marta Casas it is two o'clock enólogas of the winery. They have helped to develop the new wines and to increase the quality.
Today Parés Baltà elaborates a great variety of wines and wine-cellars of high quality that are recognized native and internationally. With the quality as premise, the aim is to elaborate wines with character that they transmit his origin.
