Agrícola i Caixa Agrària i Secció de Crèdit de Bràfim, S.C.C.L.

Founded in 1930

The year 1930, there was founded Bràfim's Agricultural Union; the aim of this association was the defense of the production of the payeses, to improve the agrarian production and to commercialize the agricultural products of his partners.

Later, in the year 1985, it happens to be Cooperativa Agrícola de Bràfim and Bràfim's Land bank, Cooperative Company of Limited Responsibility. And nowadays, it is constituted as the Agriculturalist and Agrarian Caja and Bràfim's credit section.

The entity consists of four sections, the wine section, the section of dried fruits, the oil-mill, the credit section destined to exercise the financial institution's function for the partners.

The activity of the company, it is the production of qualit wines; and it is in the year 1998, when there is begun a new phase in which the elaborated wine, it is bottled for his later commercialization on the market.

The Cooperative elaborates exclusively the grape of the vineyards of our partners, proceeding from the municipalities of Bràfim, Vilabella, Nulles, Puigpelat, It allied and Montferri, belonging to 160 partners, who form nowadays the wine section of the Cooperative.

These vineyards belong to the DO Tarragona, DO Catalunya and DO Cava.

Anually the cooperative elaborates 25000 bottles of the brand Puig Rodó.
