Brotons Vinos y Aceites

Founded in 1950

It is winery was founded in 1950 by Don Francisco Brotons Alfonso and happened from generation to generation up to coming to our days.

In the 50s the winery already was possessing a capacity for 200.000 liters and after a restructuring in the year 1990 this capacity increased up to 400.000 liters.

Dedicated from his beginnings to the production of bulk (Vats, Carafes, Barrels ...) in the 90s it had to decide between continuing with his activity of always or taking alternative ways (Modernization of the winery) to obtain qualit wines.

The modernization of the winery gave place to wineries of stainless steel with control of temperature, the casks of oak, pipelines and machinery in stainless steel were the protagonists of this one transformations and there passed from the bulk to the production of wines monovarielates (Syrah, Merlot, Tempranillo and Monastrell), as well as the Coupages de Syrah-Merlot, Syrah-Monastrell.

In spite of the modernization of his facilities one did not want to resign the traditional character of the wines of Alicante, since it was one of the keys to obtain a major product since it is the Fondillón 1964 of the variety monastrell.

As result of all this, the recognition in the sector and the obtaining of any prizes was not made wait, especially in his young wines, upbringing, reservation and great reservation.

It is winery occupies a surface of 10.000 square meters with all kinds of innovations.
