Bodegas y Viñedos Montecastro
The managerial aim of BODEGAS Y VIÑEDOS MONTECASTRO, S.A. is develops a Winery of average size, between 250.000 and 300.000 bottles at the maximum, that elaborates a wine of high quality, that situe as modal inside the wines of the Ribera del Duero.
To obtain this aim the Winery applies the resources that are necessary from the human and material point of view, both in facilities and in procedures of work, always to the search of the quality.
We work to elaborate a wine that is a synthesis of the flavors and aromas of the Ribera del Duero, for which there will be in use the grapes proceeding from the own vineyards but also there will be established contracts of purchase of grape, with vine-growers of other payments who apply the criteria and quality controls of our Winery.
The process of production of our wines, MONTECASTRO and ALCONTE, needs of his upbringing in cask, during a long period, that it ranges between 12 and 18 months, according to the characteristics of her add, and 6-12 months in bottle as minimum.
