Founded in 1992

AVAN's history begins in the year 1992, when I initiated my studies of enology in Madrid.

In the year 1996 the vineyard of the family is restructured and I take charge of it. I leave part of the old and different vineyards start them to plant young vineyard. In what was not doubted it was in preserving that small plot where the grandfather was telling us that it was taking the sticks to do the prongs and to graft the vineyard that planted. We continue preserving the same clown in our vineyard, everything dyes of the country adapted to the climate of the Ribera del Duero. After fodder elaborates 6 years that the power to have a clown only and different from the others is a badge of my wines.

In the year 2000 the young vineyards already are prepared to give his first vendímia and this way in October of this year there is born the first crop that will turn into AVAN. With this one he harvests, 8500 bottles were elaborated in total.

Today, Wineries and vineyards Juan Manuel Burgos have a vineyard of 30 hectares and elaborate approximately 75.000 bottles a year.
