Founded in 1986

In 1986, after the whole life dedicated to the wine, D. Juan Míguez founds wineries O`VENTOSELA, with D.O. Ribeiro placed in the right margin of the river Miño, together with the people of Ventosela that gives name to the winery.

We elaborate the Ribeiro from own crops, in a plot that nowadays supposes 30 % of the total of our activity, whereas 70 remaining % devotes himself to the commercialization of different suppliers of this D.O. Thanks to a philosophy based on the quality of the product and on the seriousness and professionalism of our service, we have managed to commercialize a million bottles for crop and to assemble a clients' portfolio integrated by big areas inside a geographical area in which they cover to the whole national territory in distribution centers as: Gadisa, Froiz, Carrefour, Alcampo, Mercadona, Ahorramas, Vegonsa, and realizing also export towards The United States and Japan.

In this respect, it is necessary to emphasize that in this company we possess two of the most quoted labels and of major quality inside the branch of the Ribeiro, since it are Great Leiriña and Vineyard Leiriña.

For the development of our activities, we have 9 hectares of vineyards and a new winery in San Clodio, Leiro, Ourense projected by the architect Gonzalo García Martínez. This winery possesses a total surface of 2.000 m2 and there is equipped with the most modern and innovative technologies applied to this sector of the market, which undoubtedly will reverberate in an important improvement so much of the quality of the broths as of the service that we provide to our clients.
