The wine that, from immemorial time, has been elaborated in Fontanars dels Alforins has enjoyed recognized prestige, and the Marquess of Vellisca leaned to his palace a few Wineries, where there were elaborated excellent wines proceeding from the estates named Rincón de Sancho, Rincón de Traver, Casa Nadal, Casa Ejea, Casita Nueva, Finca de Peller, Casa Guerola and El Balcó. All of them were of his property, and were adding 300 hectares of agricultural exploitation and other 350 Hectares of forest surface. Every estate was cultivated by a farmers' family of the locality.
