Founded in 1994

The history of Wineries Tobía begins in 1994, when Oscar Tobía recovers the harvester's Winery of his family, initiating the construction of a few facilities for bottling, expedition … and for the production, the most original ship of the world, which has the sky as witness, opposite to the Saw of Cantabria, sheltered by the winds of the north, near the river Ebro.

Oscar based his project on his passion for elaborating wines, and in the love and I respect to a land with name of wine, La Rioja, his land. His cardinal only one has been his creative, innovative spirit and unconformist, who together with a young equipment, has led him to forging this project.

It decided to put his name, TOBÍA, as symbol of his Riojan roots and of his personal implication.

His worry for exploring new forms enológicas and his capacity and innovation, they lead him in 1996 to creating the first one " Pink Fermented in Cask " of Spain, a revolutionary innovation in the world of the pink wines. Today we might say that ALMA DE TOBÍA Pink Fermented in Cask is one of the pink ones most recognized of Spain.

Before the shortage of means, it has resorted to the effort and the tenacity, rewarded, in the year 2002, with the Prize of the Internationalization that grants him the Chamber of Trade of La Rioja, as well as the numerous prizes and recognitions that throughout these 12 years there is receipt Wineries TOBÍA for the quality of his wines.
