Founded in 2000
The birth of Wineries Requiemes in September, 2000, in the first meeting between Juan Jose Arranz, partner vine-grower, and Jose Maria Velasco, partner enologist. In the successive months there joined to the project Luis Michael Rodríguez, partner manager, and Roman Velasco, creative partner. All that was happening while Jose Maria Velasco was done as enologist collaborating in Wineries Mauro and San Roman.
The first year of production, it adds 2001, vinificó in Wineries Casado Alvides, thanks to Paul Miranda's collaboration, today commercial department of Requiem, S.L., and to the family Casado proprietary Alvides of the above mentioned Winery.
The principal idea and philosophy of the Winery is the production of small quantities of bottles, to combine maximum qualities of grape and casks with efforts and concentrated and pampered works.
We look for a wine with a personality marked and different from other wines of quality elaborated in the Ribera del Duero.
Requiem's base is the search of the perfect conjunction between centenary vineyard and casks of French and American oak of high quality, putting for way the suitable technology, without damaging the product, spoiling his production.
