In 1730 D. Patricio Murphy it comes to Sherry proceeding from Ireland, and founds his first Wineries, lacking descent, the witness yields the Frenchman Juan Haurie. In 1791 Juan Haurie together with five of his nephews founds the trade name Juan Haurie and Nephews. In 1818, D. Juan Carlos Haurie, last nephew, grants full power to his nephew, the young person French aristocrat D. Pedro Domecq Lembeye.
This one is the beginning of a saga that they will be the founders of five branches who nowadays form a part of the shareholders of the Winery. In 1998, the members of five branches of the family headed by D. Álvaro Domecq decided to continue with the trade devoting itself exclusively to the handcrafted production of wines of high quality and using for it the former and prestigious crossbeams of the family Aranda, the Winery Wineryman more ancient of Sherry. It was in the year 1999 when Álvaro Domecq, decides to buy Pilar Aranda's former Wineries.
