Founded in 2007
Bet of Gonzalo Anton (Bodegas Izadi), resulting in this young winery in the Rioja region, after convincing and involving a group of the best restorers in the country to become part of a wine project in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria, in the town of Laguardia.
The main idea: work from a selection of small parcels of very old Tempranillo vines. A project that combines food and wine, much along the lines of the philosophy and personality of Gonzalo, Zaldiarán restaurant owner in Vitoria. After years of work and experience, we presented the first wines of the project with the 2005 vintage, produced in facilities Izadi.
Bodegas Orben belongs to Artevino wineries (Bodegas Izadi, in Rioja Alavesa, Vetus, in Toro, and Finca Villacreces in Ribera del Duero).
