Founded in 1877

Wineries Martínez Payva is a family enterprise with a long tradition cultivating grapevines and elaborating wines, from his foundation in 1877. The total surface of the Winery is 3.200 square meters. They possess more than 300 hectares of own vineyard, pioneers in the introduction of new technologies of cultures and varieties of grapes, obtaining a few marvellous wines with own personality.

Endowed with his current trade name from 1979, this Extremaduran company distributes his products for the whole national territory and dedicates, at the same time, an important plot of his production to the export, specially to countries as Holland, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland or Great Britain.

The offer of wines of the signature consists so much of stained wines (young women, upbringing and reservation from Tempranillo and Robe) as white, elaborated with the varieties Macabeo, Chardonnay or Cayetana Blanca fermented in cask. The wine muscatel completes the offer of the Winery.

The principal brands of Wineries Martínez Payva is a " Señorío de Payva " (red wine reserves), " Rio Payva " (muscatel) and "Doña Francisquita" (young wine), and it can be located both in establishments of restoration and hotel and catering business and in specialized shops and big regional surfaces. The company is also a supplier of the Spanish Royal Household.
