Bodegas Nadal

Can Nadal of the Boadella was founded at the beginning of the 16th century in lands of the Penedès. A parchment of 1510, signed by the notary Don Francisco Berthomeu,
He accredits Pere NADAL as owner of an agricultural estate placed in the municipality of Terrasola i Lavit (nowadays Torrelavit). In the Homestead NADAL has never stopped the culture of the grapevines and the production of wine, even during the difficult years of the Civil war (1936-1939) when a part of the lands was expropriated to use it as airport.

Ramon Nadal Giró, a man with initiative, is born in 1903, I joust when in the Penedès there was beginning the replantation of the grapevines destroyed by the "phylloxera". In 1941 Ramon Nadal Giró, founder of NADAL, replants the vineyards of the estate that were started to construct the above-mentioned airport and two years later it initiates the production of wine-cellar.

The base to elaborate the range of wine-cellars, white noble wines and sweet vinegar of late vintage are more than 40 vineyards that surround the winery, the wine-cellars and the ancient familiar house. The vine-stocks, of a high middle ages, produce balanced crops and of great quality.
